Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Web Application Developer with at least one year of professional experience in WordPress and PHP development. The ideal candidate will also possess working knowledge of modern full stack technologies such as Node.js, React.js, and front-end frameworks like Bootstrap and Tailwind CSS. In addition, experience with Shopify site maintenance and integrations (e.g., Lightspeed POS, SKUIQ) is a strong advantage.

You should be passionate about crafting user-friendly, high-performance web solutions and capable of working independently or collaboratively in a team environment.

As an Application Developer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing WordPress websites, plugins, and themes, while also contributing to front-end and back-end development using modern tools and technologies. You will also support the Shopify platform, ensuring seamless integration with third-party tools and maintaining ongoing performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • WordPress Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance WordPress websites using custom themes, plugins, and integrations.
  • Shopify Maintenance: Manage and maintain Shopify websites, provide ongoing support, and ensure seamless integration with Lightspeed POS and SKUIQ inventory manager.
  • Full Stack Development: Contribute to both front-end and back-end development tasks using PHP, Node.js, and React.js.
  • Theme & Plugin Customization: Customize existing WordPress themes and plugins to meet client requirements and ensure compatibility.
  • PHP Programming: Write efficient and reusable PHP code to enhance website functionalities.
  • Front-End Development: Build responsive and visually appealing interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and Tailwind CSS.
  • Back-End Logic: Develop and maintain server-side logic, handle database operations (MySQL), and perform API integrations.
  • Debugging & Troubleshooting: Quickly identify and resolve website or application issues related to performance, security, and compatibility.
  • Version Control: Use Git for version control and collaboration with other developers.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with UI/UX designers, content creators, and project managers to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Optimization & Maintenance: Monitor and improve website performance, apply security patches, conduct regular updates, and implement SEO best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in WordPress and PHP development.
  • Shopify Experience: Practical experience in maintaining Shopify websites, managing third-party app integrations, and syncing with tools like Lightspeed POS and SKUIQ.
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
  • WordPress theme and plugin development
  • Working knowledge of Node.js and React.js
  • Familiarity with MySQL and database operations
  • Experience with Bootstrap and Tailwind CSS
  • Git version control
  • Additional Tools:
  • Experience with Elementor or WPBakery page builders
  • Familiarity with WordPress core functions, hooks, filters, and plugin architecture
  • Basic command-line operations using WP-CLI is a plus

Preferred (Nice to Have):

  • Experience with WordPress Multisite
  • Familiarity with WooCommerce and eCommerce development
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices in WordPress
  • Experience working with cross-platform integrations (e.g., POS systems, inventory tools)

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
